Emergency First Aid and CPR A or C plus AED (8hours)
This course is recognized by the Nova Scotia Department of Labour and Environment. Emergency First Aid: Includes CPR-A certification (Adult CPR). Emergency First Aid is for people who require a general knowledge of first aid principles and the emergency treatment of injuries. Skills include:
Priorities of an Emergency Respiratory Emergencies Cardiovascular Emergencies (CPR)
Preventing Disease Transmission Asthma and Allergies Automated External Defibrillator
Primary Survey (A.B.C’s) Respiratory Arrest Wound Care (external & Internal)
Secondary Survey Breathing Emergencies (Choking) Shock and First Aid for Shock
Standard First Aid and CPR C or HCP (16 hours)
This course is recognized by the Nova Scotia Department of Labour and Environment. Includes CPR-C certification. Standard First Aid provides comprehensive training covering all aspects of first aid and CPR. Standard First Aid incorporates all of Emergency First Aid and is designed for those who require a more in-depth understanding of first aid including:
Priorities of an Emergency Respiratory Emergencies Cardiovascular Emergencies (CPR)
Preventing Disease Transmission Asthma and Allergies Automated External Defibrillator
Primary Survey (A.B.C’s) Respiratory Arrest Wound Care (external & Internal)
Secondary Survey Breathing Emergencies (Choking) Shock and First Aid for Shock
Injuries to the Head, Neck and Spine Musculoskeletal Injuries Sudden Medical Emergences
Emergency Childbirth Heat and Cold Emergencies Burns
Poisoning Diabetes and Convulsions
CPR HCP (6.5 – 8.5 hours)
This course covers time-sensitive, life-threatening priorities. Course topics include:

Primary Survey (A.B.C’s) Respiratory Arrest Shock and First Aid for Shock

Standard First Aid & CPR Level HCP(14-16 hours)

Wilderness & Remote First Aid Course (24 hours)
Wilderness & Remote First Aid & CPR  for individuals who work, play or live in isolated areas. Course topics include:
